Seiko releases two new models for its Presage Cocktail Time collection. Inspired by the nightlife of Japan's capital city and specially designed around the cocktails, the watches represent the bold yet accessible side of the collection.
In line with previous Seiko Presage Cocktail Time editions, these new models have been created with STAR BAR in Ginza, Tokyo and its owner Hisashi Kishi, the first bartender to receive Japan's prestigious "Contemporary Master Craftsman" award. For this new model, the bartender has created a new cocktail called "Night-time Tokyo", and the two watches, offered in two sizes, reflect the night views of Tokyo with its countless tall buildings.

The base of the dial of the model has a randomly "scratched" surface, the rather delicate pattern of which, combined with a dark gray gradient effect with a slightly lighter shade of gray in the middle, creates the impression of the series' title drink. The hands and indexes have been treated with a gold-colored coating for contrast. Both have a gold colored bezel around the date window.

This "Night-time Tokyo" Presage Cocktail TimeSRE015J1 is a smaller version of the model with the same dial and case and measuring 30.3mm in diameter. However, there is something quite special about this version, which may at first look like a stone-embellished bezel, but is actually a hardlex mineral glass inner surface that has been cut with multiple facet bevels to create a diamond-like pattern. Underneath the closed back is a small automatic movement, caliber 2R05, which runs at a frequency of 3 Hz and has a power reserve of 40 hours. This novelty SRE015 is a limited production batch of 6,000 pieces.
