The King Seiko VANAC is a legendary watch series originally created by Seiko between 1972 and 1976. Like the original retro models, these modern reissues stand out with their unique fusion of high-quality Japanese watchmaking and bold design. Still a head-turner today, the VANAC has earned a loyal place in the hearts of vintage watch enthusiasts.

This modern generation of Vanac follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, marking a new chapter for the King Seiko brand. It introduces a completely new case design and size, measuring 41 mm in diameter, 14.3 mm in thickness, and 45.1 mm lug-to-lug. For this release, Seiko has reinterpreted the name VANAC, with the initials now standing for Vibrant, Active, Novel, Alternative, and Comfortable. The collection pays tribute to the mesmerizing sky colors above Tokyo’s vibrant cityscape, with beautifully finished dials in striking tones — from soft morning hues to vivid twilight shades. The dial features an elegant horizontal stripe pattern and an inner ring that frames the hour markers. The 12 o’clock index and the counterweight of the seconds hand carry a distinctive V-shaped silhouette, symbolizing the heritage of the Vanac line.

Beneath the bold case beats the precise Caliber 8L45 movement, offering an impressive power reserve of up to 72 hours (three days) and magnetic resistance up to 4,800 A/m. The watch is equipped with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. With 10 ATM / 100M water resistance and a screw-down crown, it’s a reliable companion for everyday wear. The bracelet, like all King Seiko models, is expertly finished — combining brushed and mirror-polished surfaces for striking contrast.
