The King Seiko SPB457J1 is the smallest of the current King Seiko models. The King Seiko "KSK", which has existed since the re-release of the collection in 2022, is now available as a simple dateless model with a smaller 36.1 mm case. The case features a mirror polish and a brushed finish, creating a compact yet sharp design with the prominent bevels that are characteristic of the "KSK" series. This Ivy style originated on the East Coast of the United States in the 1950s and uniquely developed in Japan in the 1960s, when King Seiko was born.
The dial color is saxon blue, the symbolic color of oxford cloth shirts, which completed the preppy look known for its timelessness. The Lumibrite on the hour and minute hands is white, giving the color scheme a graceful and fresh look at the same time. The metal bracelet has a quick release clasp, which allows it to be attached and removed easily without tools. Replacing the metal bracelet with a leather strap (sold separately) greatly expands the watch's combination with different styles.
Powered by the mechanical self-winding Caliber 6R51 movement, the watch has a power reserve of three days (72 hours). A fully wound watch can be removed on Friday and worn the following Monday without having to reset the time. The watch's anti-reflective sapphire crystal and 10ATM/100M water resistance make it suitable for everyday use as well as for special occasions.
