Casio G-SHOCK celebrates the 30th anniversary of the iconic EVANGELION series with a unique special edition. This limited-edition watch was created in collaboration with the series’ legendary mechanical designer, Ikuto Yamashita, who produced exclusive original artwork for the project. The result is a model that captures the energy and atmosphere of EVANGELION like never before.
First airing in 1995, Neon Genesis Evangelion quickly became a cultural phenomenon in Japan and later worldwide. The Rebuild of Evangelion film series further cemented its global influence, and the concluding chapter, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, released in 2021, attracted over 6.7 million viewers and grossed more than 10 billion yen at the box office.
The GA-110, also used for the very first EVANGELION collaboration back in 2010, serves as the base model. At the heart of the design is EVA Unit-01: its iconic horned headgear decorates the short band, its face is featured on the bezel, and its arm gripping the Spear of Longinus extends dramatically from the lower bezel to the long band. With advanced surface-finishing techniques, Casio has faithfully reproduced Yamashita’s intricate illustrations in striking detail.
Fans will discover even more references to the series on the dial and band. The sub-dial indicator at 9 o’clock nods to the 3rd Angel, Sachiel, while a bold Y-shaped element recalls the familiar CAUTION motif. The band loop is marked with “NEON GENESIS,” the NERV logo appears at the tip of the band, and a special 30th-anniversary emblem is engraved on the case back.
Yet the GA-110EVA30-7AER is more than just a collector’s piece — it is a fully equipped G-SHOCK.
