Casio G-Shock MR-G MRG-B2100D-2ADR is an exceptional showcase of Japanese aesthetics, advanced materials and cutting-edge watchmaking technology. The design draws inspiration from Japan’s oldest five-storied mountain pagoda in the Tohoku region, whose quiet and timeless presence is reflected in the hanada-iro blue dial. The shade subtly changes depending on light and viewing angle, echoing the mysterious and ever-evolving nature of time.
The dial structure is inspired by traditional Japanese kigumi wood joinery, where components interlock without nails. Geometric patterns, wave-like ridges and subtle openings create depth while symbolising strength and dignity. At the same time, the design allows light to reach the Tough Solar system, seamlessly combining traditional craftsmanship with modern energy efficiency. A particularly refined detail is the two-part, ultra-precisely manufactured index at 12 o’clock, demonstrating the advanced nano-processing expertise of the Yamagata factory.
The iconic octagonal 2100 bezel design is executed here with exceptional precision. The case and bezel are composed of 27 individual components, each meticulously finished. Mirror polishing, titanium carbide coating and the Multi-Guard structure ensure outstanding shock and scratch resistance. The top bezel is crafted from COBARION®, an alloy approximately four times harder than pure titanium with a brilliance comparable to platinum. The bracelet is made of DAT55G titanium, combining extreme hardness with comfort, while the case structure utilises Ti64 titanium.
Technically, the watch meets the highest standards of the MR-G line. Radio-controlled Multi Band 6 timekeeping, Bluetooth connectivity and Mobile Link functions ensure precise timekeeping worldwide. The specially engineered MR-G movement even features a gold-plated retainer plate to reduce electrical resistance and enhance energy efficiency. With 200-metre water resistance, shock resistance and magnetic resistance, the watch is built for reliability in all conditions.
